"Last night I awoke to a beam of light shining in my window" Take two.

Okay, so I decided to make a different story from this for writing, It's going to mostly be monologue.

Last night I awoke to a beam of light shining in my window. "What the hell is that?" I got up and looked out the window. Of course there was my brother, Daniel and his friend Steven.

"What the hell are you guys doing, seriously?" I asked them.

"We're sneaking out and going down to the old railroad, Come with us!"

"Did you really have to shine a li ghtin my window, have you ever heard of knocking on a door or something? And what about mom and dad? they're bound to wake up and realize none of us are in the house."

"It's two in the morning, they'll never wake up now!" He exclaimed.

"You're so retarded, they can hear us talking right now, you know."

"And are they awake?" He questioned me.

"Well.. no, but-"

"Exactly!" He cut in.

"Alright fine, I'll be down in a few minutes."

I looked for some clothes, sat down in front of my mirror and put on some makeup and brushed my hair then headed downstairs.

"Jeeze, what took you so long?"

"Why are you so impatient?"

"Touché"

"So, tell me again why you got me out of bed at two in the morning to go to a railroad?"

"Should we tell her?" he looked over to Steven.

"Well, since we're taking her... I guess we could let her in on it." Steven said.

"Okay, so here's the deal, tonight there's supposed to be a big party there in the old station and the only way you can get in is if you're a senior, and we're only juniors." Daniel explained.

"So, how exactly do I fit into this?"

"Well... You're a senior, correct?"

"Yeah..."

"We can get in, but only if you say we're with you."

"So, you dragged me out of bed to get you into a fucking party?"

"Basically, yeah-"

"Now, what makes you think I'll say you're with me, and not just go in myself and leave you guys sitting outside?"

"You're not a bitch and I know you wouldn't do that to me..."

"Someti- never mind. Jesus, how far is this place? wasn't it down that street back there?"

"No, it's the one way down the track, almost in the next city"

"Why the hell didn't we drive, or take a taxi?"

"Because you're the only one who can drive, but you need the keys, and Mother has them"

"Taxi?"

"We don't have money..."

"I do..."

"Yeah, but you wouldn't pay"

"If I had have known we'd have to walk THIS far, I would have"

"Oh, well thanks for telling us this now."

"Your fault, should have told me how far it is, or maybe where EXACTLY we were going, genius"

This was a weekly journal entry that we had to do, sometimes we do stories, sometimes we write about our lives, I'll just share the story ones we do. So basically, we got the first line of this story, and had to branch out from there. I've always really loved doing things like this, having to branch off of something that's given to you. (: This is one of the shittier stories I've written though.

Last night I awoke to a bright beam of light shining in my window. "What is that?" I thought to myself. Too nervous to move, I sat there. Finally the beam of light disappeared. I waited a few seconds before I got up to look out the window, and bam! the light went on again, right in my face, seeming like whoever was behind it didn't want me to see them. I walked toward my door to go alert my parents of this intruder on our property. I reached for the door knob and as soon as I touched it the light went off. I rushed into my mom and dads room. "Mom!" I yelled. No response. "Dad!" still nothing. I walked over to the light and switched it on. The room was empty, parents no where in sight. I looked around, and saw a note sitting on the bed. This note read "Watch out, they might get you too. Don't panic though, you're better off with out us and with them anway." I walked over to the corner of the room, and just collapsed. Suddenly I head loud thumping coming my way. Panicked, I rushed into the on suite in the bedroom. What the hell was going on, I wondered. The windows started to shake and rattle and the walls started to crumble. I watched the knob on the door slowly turn. The door opened faster than I could blink, Something came flying at me! I opened my eyes and sat up violently. I looked around. I was in my own room, my own bed, under my own covers. In the dark, with no bright beaming light. Thank god it was all just a dream..

Suddenly, there was a light shining in my window. It wasn't a dream after all.

We only have a short period of time to do these, we get time later on. I'll post the rest when I finish. Ignore the lack of grammar and punctuation, it's a rough copy. Also, ignore the horrible putting together of it. When I do the good copies of things, I usually change A LOT of things around.
